My son Charlie attended Acton Academy in Beitou during our two year tenure in Taipei. We were new to the teaching concept offered by Acton, but a visit to the school intrigued us and we decided to give it a try. This turned out to be a great decision. Joining Acton Academy has been a positive experience in many ways. First of all, it has spurred a love for learning and a curiosity in Charlie that has been a delight to witness. Academically he has made great strides. Moreover, the small size of the school and the closeness to peers and teachers alike, has provided a safe and kind environment. At Acton every kid is allowed and encouraged to be themselves, the children are respectful and to each other and no bullying exists. Charlie has left home with a smile every day for two years and as a mum this is the most beautiful thing I could have ever asked for.
